Today I want to share with you a special REVELATION on the key to the entire Bible. It is found in the gospel of John.
Jesus said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32).
I am aware of other modern English translations that say, you will know the truth, and the truth will SET you free.
You say, is there any difference between making and setting free? Yes, there is a big difference.
Everyone was being set free on the day Jesus died on the cross and rose from dead on the third day about 2,000 years ago, but you are being made free every moment you know the truth about your liberty in Christ and activate it with your faith by contending for it.
For example, you have been set free from sins and sickness by Christ's redemption about 2,000 years ago, but until you discover this truth and personally take a step of faith and appropriate it to your life, you can never be made free. The truth is that Jesus Christ has made all things ready for us through redemption. He has redeemed us from sin, sickness and disease, oppression and satanic attacks, poverty, and shame.
That we still find any of these woes in our lives is proof that we are not yet MADE free from them even though Christ had set us free from them about 2,000 years ago.
Friends, by the time you know the truth about redemption through Christ Jesus, that is, knowing that He has paid the price for ALL the human woes, and you appreciate it to your life, you will be free. Jesus came to take your place so that you can become free.
He became sin so that you might become righteous (2Cor 5:21), He was made sick for us by His stripes so that we might be healed (Isaiah 53:5), He became cursed so that we might be blessed (Gal 3:13,14), He became poor so that we might be rich (2Cor 9:8), He was put to shame and reproach so that we might become enviable. (Heb 12:2). Alleluia !!
We shall continue to explore more about knowing the truth tomorrow because of time and space.
