WHERE WILL YOU SPEND ETERNITY?

By admin@heavenlymission.org. Oct 25, 2022

ETERNITY is near. How diligent are you in preparing for the coming of the Lord? Anytime this statement cuts across my heart, the ONLY thing I pray for is for God to help me to the end like the five wise virgins and also use the lesson of life learned from foolish virgins to make adequate preparation for eternity.

Right from the time of creation, God made man in His image and likeness so that they could exercise their dominion on the earth. God's divine nature was imbedded in man at the creation so that we can function similarly to His nature in order to avoid the fall.

We were created to have a reflective nature of God in our DNA. By this, we have been designed to have an extension of His personality in a way that our character, temperament, and relationship with others could be revealed in Him. Genesis 1:26 (KJV). However, the man was deceived by the devil, and God drove them out of the garden of Eden to preserve it from being polluted, and he sent Jesus to bring man back to Himself. Jeremiah 2:12–13; Isaiah 9:6–7; Galatians 4:4–5.

Considering the recent events around the world, it is evident that the end of this world and the coming of Christ are imminent. The Lord Jesus provided vivid pictures of the events that would precede the end of the world. (Mathew 24:6). It is a clear warning to us to prepare for eternity and what will be our fate in the afterlife. The Bible clearly says it is appointed to man once to die and, after this, judgment (Hebrews 9:27).

The Lord has given this generation the opportunity and a pointer to live an exemplary Christian life like Enoch (Genesis 5:24). Our world has been plagued with so many corrupt and evil practices, just like the days of Noah; these evil acts make living for God in this age a difficult possibility (Matthew 24:37-39). However herculean this task might be, it should not be considered an excuse for compromise.

Preparation is the key. It reminded me of the story of the foolish and the wise virgins. The thin line of separation is their preparation (Matthew 25:1-13). So also the case of the Rich man and Lazarus, the Beggar in the Bible (Luke 16: 19-31). These stories reminded me that ETERNITY is a process that 'DOES NOT HAVE AN END.' We are on a journey through life that will end in one day to an eternity without end.

My dear friend, my question to you (and me) is, WHERE WILL YOU SPEND ETERNITY? What shall it profit a man to gain this whole world and lose his soul? Mark 8:36.

Your soul is vital to God.

Please surrender it to Jesus today.

Today is the day of salvation.

Tomorrow may be too late.

John 3:16; Galatians 2:20.

Remain Blessed!
